Karaoke, October 10 at Grandmother's

I know this is out there a ways, but one of my friends has never even witnessed karaoke let alone participated, and he'd like to give it a shot. The weekend of the 10th/11th is the first time he's available.

Erin and Lisa, I think you two are aware of the good karaoke places. Grandmothers comes to mind first for me. Is there anywhere else we should consider? Moe & Curley's was fun the other night too.

Clancys is good too. I know there must be more karaoke places out there!!! Anyone else know of some?? I was told there are some little hole in the wall ones...but can't remember the name of them.

My spot is Moe & Curlys, but I will have my girls that weekend so I won't be available. There is also Mics on 119th and Pacific. I hope you have fun!

Lynne...did you see the list Brian M. got of karaoke places in town? I grabbed a copy too...so let me know if you are still looking for more places!

I'm going to try to make it out. I wouldn't really recommend Moe and Curly's on the weekend nights. I like it way better on the week days.

Moe and Curly's was a little too busy the Saturday night we were there, but I'm sure it's fun during the week.

I like the atmosphere at Grandmothers or Clancy's, but I know that Clancy's has Trivia every Saturday night (except this week I think....)

Shall we do this on a Friday or a Saturday.

Brian B - since you are hoping to attend, what night works best for you? And do you have a preference about where?

Who is this Brian B of which you speak?

I am unfortunately not going to be able to make it the Weekend of Oct 10 or 17. But if anyone happens to videotape it, be sure to post it here.

Brian M. Have video camera, will travel. I have an awesome video of Lynne doing a rockin' ACDC song with our friend Kelly. It is priceless but I might take an undisclosed amount of money to let you see it.

I'm not much of a singer but I've got a couple of songs I can do in a pinch.
It should be fun hanging with everyone.
I called the SharkClub about 80s night but they weren't open yet. we'll see.
I'm keeping my eyes open for ideas of things to do.

As far as the karaoke location the closer to Dundee the better for me

*sigh* I do love my AC/DC.

I checked out Film Streams.......I need to know which night is karaoke.

Friday night is the only night I can do karaoke, or one of those "indie" films at Film Streams. There's a cool one that's going to be next Friday. Let me know what you decide so I can plan accordingly.

HEY...Just so everyone knows.... I bought two little balloons...the kind that go on the top of a stick. They are smiley faces and one is light blue and the other is pink...like a boy and a girl. I will put these in a vase or a pot or something and have it on our table so people can find us more easily!

Count me in also...just don't expect me to sing.
